PNGbg–transparency on the fly
Out of all the goods I baked lately, more than ever, I seriously made this one for me. OK, maybe not the pretty page and blog post, but I've been missing this tool for years. I'm also positive many other from this field felt a similar need at times. Read more...

Random http://deschis.eu hidden feature: Use CAPS or NUM LOCK to toggle scroll wheel map zooming. Good UX required covering both user needs.

(In)activity timer
Having an auto-rotating, 3 to 5 items promo carousel on a web page is a common practice. They work by continuously displaying a few items—one after another—within an interval of a few seconds, freezing their rotation on hover. Yet, regarding timing, a lot of them lack in design. Read more...

FinallyPHP, finally!
When I launched this blog, I was saying something about a framework on which it was built. Well, after a while of improving and tweaking (but mostly sleeping and drinking), it's official!
FinallyPHP is an open-source project, so if you're into PHP browse it up and feel free to contribute if you like what you see and share the same philosophy. Most of the files are commented Javadoc-like and thanks to PHPDoctor there's an API Documentation generated from it. Read more...

Dragdealer JS
A few weeks ago I posted a JavaScript Slider component, the same I used for my comment button. One problem was that it lacked touch support and therefore was unusable on mobile phones. But the surprise came when a friendly chap named Pratik implemented it without even me knowing, then contacted me to share his contribution. I then saw the potential and decided to take it to the next step. Read more...

Please ReTweet
Writing about Twitter was definitely not on my list when I conceived this blog, but there's this thing that people keep on doing that just doesn't make any sense. I don't need to go ahead and introduce what tweets and retweets are, because everybody knows that, right?... wrong! Read more...

Ajax (is not) for dummies
Explaining the Ajax concept in 2010 is ridiculous, I know, but not as ridiculous as its perception for some people, in 2010. First of all, Ajax is a buzzword. Developers, but maybe even more, clients, love to use it. Some don't really know its actual implications; just the fact that it's still somewhat fresh, but mainly cool. At least as cool as the web can get; without using Flash, that is. Read more...
